Golf Mil Veterinary Hospital works with volunteer based and non-for-profit animal shelters within our community. We help support these organizations by providing many services such as: health exams, vaccinations, lab work, parasite treatments, dentals, spay and neutering and any other medical care needed. The goal is to assure all orphaned pets are healthy and placed into a loving home.
Here is some additional information about the shelters. If you are interested in fostering, adoption or providing assistance in some other way, they would love to hear from you.
1. Chicago Pet Rescue - is a volunteer based rescue. They do not have a central shelter, all of the animals are placed in foster homes until forever homes can be found. For more information visit their website at www.chicagopetrescue.org
2. Adopt A Pet Inc.- is a volunteer non-for-profit animal shelter and
adoption agency dedicated to saving lost, abandoned or otherwise homeless dogs, cats, puppies and kittens. They do not have a shelter facility, all of their animals are boarded at cooperating animal hospitals or reside in volunteer foster homes.
